Prehistoric Man Also Going to Hell

According to those heathen scientists, prehistoric man is also going straight to Hell, since they have sex for pleasure:

He may have come down from the trees, but prehistoric man did not stop swinging. New research into Stone Age humans has argued that, far from having intercourse simply to reproduce, they had sex for fun.

Practices ranging from bondage to group sex, transvestism and the use of sex toys were widespread in primitive societies as a way of building up cultural ties.

Damn history, it's just so damn inconvenient... if only we could get rid of all these pesky facts.

Sex toys and group sex, I'll buy, but bondage and transvestitism? That seems a little far-fetched to me.

Still, it's no big secret that humans are the most highly-sexed primates around, although bonobos come in a close second. An alien zoologist attempting to classify Earth's primate species might very well give us the label, "sex apes," based on our huge genitals and constant mating.

Now, who really thinks they indulged in such pleasures "as a way of building up cultural ties"? Statements like this always baffle me. The sociologist has always had a difficult time restraining his proclivity for projection. I really find it difficult that Blat and Uruk decided to don their sister's clothing, tie each other up and invite their adolescent buddies to come over and party so that they could solidify "cultural ties." Does anyone really think that was the goal?

Dawson

f bondage and transvestitism satisfies a deep sexual need today, why wouldn't it over 10,000 years ago? You'd have to ask yourself, "when did men start dressing/painting themselves up like women for sexual gratification?" Since it has no base in any one particular culture, surely it doesn't in one particular century.

As far as cultural ties go, well, I think people wanted other people to make them feel good. Calling it "cultural ties" makes it sound all sociology...y.

I know the Bible condemns homosexual sex and sex outside of marriage, but where does it condemn sex for pleasure inside the bonds of marriage? I can't seem to find a verse.
