Two Open Challenges for Theists

Attention theists! There are currently two recent challenges available in the atheist blog-o-sphere for you to prove your faith.

The first one is from Olly at 10,000 Reasons to Doubt the Fish. And it's a seemingly simple challenge, but actually proves to be quite difficult (and a whole lot of fun to boot). It is: Define God.

The second one is from me at my other blog, Kill The Afterlife. And it was inspired by Olly's challenge, but mine is a bit more, shall we say, controversial! It is: Prove Your Faith Like Abraham Did!

This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your faith, spread the good word, and show us atheists what for. You know your God is real, and you know that you put him first in your life. So help us see the light!

Rehash:

Challenge #1: Define God.

Challenge #2: Prove Your Faith Like Abraham Did!

Thanks for the link Aaron!! Maybe I can get someone to actually attempt a definition, since all I've gotten over about 75 posts seems to be a variation on the theme of 'God is unknowable', which seems awfully convenient since at other times he's got a whole lot of characteristics that are thrown in our faces!

If someone comes up with a definition for God, please cross-post it.

I think it is interesting to take the "reward" of religion out of the equation and the question I would add to your list is: "Would you believe in God if the consequence of that belief was an eternity of pain and suffering?". In other words, is your motivation the truth or the reward?

For rational people, the threat of punishment or promise of reward is completely irrelevant in the understanding of how the universe works.

It's too late for Challenge #1... I already submitted the only valid answer. I just need to get olly to recognize me as the winner. I am ready to temporarily convert to Christianity in order to count as a "theist" and thus be eligible.

LOL Francois, you are the accepted winner, your prize is you must now re-copy the bible by hand, substituting your answer anytime the word 'God' or 'Jesus' appears lmao.
