My new site : Simply Anarchy

I try not to talk about politics on this blog, keeping that for The Radical Libertarian. However, I thought some people may be interested in knowing about my new web site, Simply Anarchy. On the front page I discuss the simple nature of anarchism in general, and on other sections I link to a lot of articles and studies detailing the evils of government and the benefits of market anarchy.

Anarchy is very similar to atheism, so similar that there would be a lot to discuss on that topic. Both anarchy and atheism are disbeliefs and negations (lack of belief in god, lack of belief in the necessity of government) of beliefs which are disproven by plenty of empirical and logical evidence. Both are individualist positions which seek to restore the individual's values and let him act in reasoned, chosen ways. Both free the masses and would make the world in general a much better place.

Even if you are not a market anarchist, but are sympathetic to the ideals of capitalism and getting rid of government coercion, I would invite you to check it out.

This is interesting. But one question- isn't anarchy definitionally distinct from libertarianism? Or is that what is implied in the "Radical" of "Radical Libertarianism?"

No, traditionally market anarchism was always a subset of libertarianism.

Libertarians want less government, anarchists want no government, which is the least of all. Pretty compatible in goals, with the big difference that calling for less government is completely futile.

Ah. So, it's somewhat like a physician working to lessen the amount of cancer in a patient by trying to remove it entirely.

I like the analogy, Zach, but cancer is much too nice. Government is an active parasite which corrupts the entire society, not just what it gets involved in. So a better analogy would have to involve some kind of brain worm.
