I'm not sure what you mean by killing the blog. Rest assured that if your blog accepted Jesus Christ as its personal saviour that it will spend eternity in heaven. LOL! Man, your blog is too good to ever die. Keep opposing stupidity, and you'll always have an audience.

Seriously though, this is what can happen when you insult people directly for their stupid beliefs, instead of disrespecting only the beleifs but not the people.

Can the beliefs be attacked without attacking the believer? They have made their beliefs so central to their identity, I'm not sure there is a difference. Besides, what are we supposed to think of a person who believes this sort of garbage (i.e., religion)?

HMMMM. Believing in sky-fairies, talking snakes, people coming back from the dead and blasting off into the sky, and in universes popping out of nothing is fine, but not believing in them is a mental disorder ? Can you explain that one ?
For you it would run along the same lines as, a big mass exploded and a bunch of material in a molten state suddenly (well, over time, but relativly suddenly)came together. In a mark of true randomness two inert, dead, non-living particles came together with the molten mass and started, quit on it's own to breath.

Anon, it appears you're talking about how life might have come into existence on earth, but it's not clear. My only question for you is this: if in fact that is how life came to be on earth (i.e., through natural causes), should we pretend that it didn't happen this way, and imagine an invisible magic being that just wished everything into place?
The point is that you need more than just uncharitable characterization and incredulity. You need an argument. Simply ridiculing a position is not the same thing as showing it's wrong. All you're telling us is that you don't like it. But your likes and dislikes are irrelevant.
Overall, your comments - their content, style, wording, poor spelling, etc. - are strikingly similar to another frequent poster here who seems to have gone into hiding lately. Why do you suppose that is?

Let me give you a little info. Mental hospitals are chock full of religious people. Some of the patients think that they ARE Jesus or God or some other messiah. You will be hard pressed to find any atheists in any mental institutions
The same thing goes for prisons. Both nut houses and slammers are 99.9%, and even sometimes 100% full of religious people. Very religious people at that.
So the general population in America is about 85% religious. And according to Scientific American, only 40% of scientists with a B.S. are religous.
So humans with highly functioning minds are LESS religious than the general population. And humans with fucked up and dysfunctional minds are MORE religious than the general population.
So anon, looks like your argument just got shredded. Keep taking your meds :P
